Fayetteville is proud to be home to Fort Liberty (formerly Fort Bragg until June 2023) and one of America's largest military communities with over 50,000 active duty personnel. Fort Liberty at a Glance

Fort Liberty (renamed from Fort Bragg in June 2023) is one of the largest military installations in the world, spanning over 161,000 acres across Cumberland, Hoke, Harnett, and Moore counties.
