Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville, NC is at 419 Cross Creek Mall, Fayetteville, NC 28303, near where Skibo Road (US 401 Bypass) meets Morganton Road. Regular mall hours are 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, per the mall's website. Belk, JCPenney and Macy's are the anchor stores, and CBL Properties owns and manages the mall.

These are the regular hours on crosscreekmall.com. Holiday hours can be different (around Thanksgiving and Christmas especially), and the department stores, restaurants with outside entrances and Main Event can keep their own schedules. Anchor Stores Open at Cross Creek Mall in 2026

The mall opened on February 26, 1975, with five anchors: Sears, Belk, JCPenney, Miller & Rhoads and Thalhimer's, according to Cross Creek Mall's Wikipedia entry. Today CBL Properties lists Belk, JCPenney and Macy's first among its featured stores, and all three appear in the mall's store directory. The Macy's space began as Thalhimer's, became Hecht's and has been Macy's since 2006. Sears closed in January 2019 after nearly 44 years.

CBL says the former Sears building was redeveloped with Rooms To Go, Main Event and LongHorn Steakhouse. That makes the old anchor pad a furniture, entertainment and dining stop.

The District and other Cross Creek Mall stores

"The District" is an outdoor streetscape of about 46,000 square feet with stores such as Sephora, Men's Wearhouse, White House | Black Market and Sleep Number, per CBL. Other featured stores include American Eagle Outfitters, Bath & Body Works, BoxLunch, Buckle, Build-A-Bear Workshop, Foot Locker, H&M, PacSun, Pandora, Vans, Victoria's Secret and Five Below.

How many stores are at Cross Creek Mall?

Older guides, including the previous version of this page, said Cross Creek had "150+ stores" and about 1 million square feet. CBL's current property sheet lists 108 total stores and 790,582 square feet. It also estimates about 6.98 million visits in 2025 and calls Cross Creek the only super-regional mall within 75 miles. The mall's own directory has 123 entries, more than CBL's count, because it also lists carts, services, banks and outparcels.

Restaurants and Food Inside and Around the Mall

The directory lists these sit-down restaurants:

Wikipedia notes that the former Bahama Breeze was converted to Chuy's in 2026. For a quick meal, the directory names CAVA, Panda Express, Popeyes, Sarku Japan, Neo Sushi Express, Great Steak & Potato Co., Sino Wok Chinese Eatery, Thai Style and All American Pizzeria. Cross Creek Mall Youth Escort Policy

Families should know about the mall's Youth Escort Policy. It is in effect from 4 p.m. to close on Friday and Saturday, and management can use it at other times too. During those hours, visitors under 18 must be with a parent or guardian who is 21 or older. One adult can escort all of their own children, or up to three youths if at least one is their own child. Teens working at the mall can enter alone if they show proof of work status. The policy doesn't apply inside stores with outside entrances, which the mall names as JCPenney, Main Event, Belk and Macy's. Security asks for photo ID when age isn't obvious.

Getting There: I-295, All American Freeway and Skibo Road

Skibo Road is the local name for the US 401 Bypass. CBL describes the mall as sitting where Morganton Road meets Skibo Road, and estimates more than 150,000 cars a day on Skibo.

• From the All American Freeway: NCDOT ramp records show interchanges at Morganton Road and at US 401 Bypass (Skibo Road). Either exit puts you a short drive from the mall.
• From I-295 (Fayetteville Outer Loop): NCDOT's project map shows the loop connecting to the All American Freeway. Leave I-295 there and head south on the freeway toward its Owen Drive end to reach the Skibo Road exit, then the Morganton Road exit. Our Fort Bragg gates and commute guide covers coming from post.

The mall's website doesn't publish a parking map or parking rules. Call management with questions about accessible spaces or oversized vehicles.

Riding FAST to the mall

The mall is a Fayetteville Area System of Transit (FAST) transfer point. Routes 6, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 and the West Fayetteville Express One serve it, the City of Fayetteville says. During the 2025 holiday season, FAST rerouted buses away from the mall Friday through Sunday from Nov. 28 to Dec. 21. A shuttle ran instead from a stop on Campground Road near Lowe's. If you ride during the 2026 holidays, check FAST notices first in case there's a similar reroute.
