Bars Downtown Fayetteville, NC

Downtown is the easiest place to string together two or three stops on foot. City-run lots and the Hay Street and Franklin Street decks are free after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends unless a special event is underway (Park Fayetteville).

The Sip Room

The Sip Room at 106 Hay Street is a wine and champagne bar that pours bottles "from around the world," serves charcuterie and light bites, and runs tastings, private events and live music nights (The Sip Room). The house cocktail list includes a Rosemary Pear and a Honey Lavender Mule. It is the downtown pick for a date or a small group that wants to talk over the music. The Waiting Room at 106

The owners of Circa 1800 opened The Waiting Room next door on Person Street in November 2025 (BizFayetteville). The adults-only bar has tabletop games, a fireplace, tapas-style bar snacks and a cocktail menu that changes weekly, with a stated goal of stocking 125 bourbons and scotches. Winter hours were Wednesday and Thursday 5:30-9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 5:30-10 p.m., and Sunday 10:30 a.m.-3 p.m., so confirm current times on the Heirloom Hospitality Group site.

Brewery taprooms downtown

Two breweries anchor the craft beer side of downtown. Gaston Brewing Company at 124 Hay Street pairs its beer with a full restaurant (Gaston Brewing). North South Brewing at 304 Williams Street opens Tuesday-Thursday 4-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday noon-10 p.m. and Sunday noon-8 p.m., closes Mondays, and books live local music on weekends (North South Brewing). A note on recent closures

Sol's Arcade + Taproom on Maiden Lane, across from Segra Stadium, stopped operating in its downtown space after June 7, 2026, citing building problems (BizFayetteville). Older lists that still recommend it are out of date.

Pubs and Neighborhood Bars

Paddy's Irish Public House

Paddy's, at 2606 Raeford Road, Suite B, has operated since 2007 and opens Wednesday through Saturday from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. (Paddy's). It doubles as the home of Paddy's Comedy Club; some shows are 18+ and others are all ages, so read the listing before you bring a younger guest. It also books live music. Louie's Sports Pub and Cheers Too

Two long-running neighborhood bars sit a few streets apart off Raeford Road, both owned by Gayle Bedsole (Cardinal & Pine, Nov. 2025):

• Louie's Sports Pub, 2417 Robeson St.: pool tables, outdoor cornhole and local bands on a patio stage on weekends.
• Cheers Too, 2803 Raeford Rd.: karaoke six nights a week, pool, cornhole and TVs for games. It has operated since the early 1990s.

Neither publishes hours online, so call ahead or check their social pages.

Sports Bars in Fayetteville, NC

For game days, the newest and largest option is Twin Peaks at 1891 Skibo Road near Cross Creek Mall, which opened February 10, 2026 (BizFayetteville). It has more than 55 TVs, more than 30 draft taps and hours of 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday-Saturday. The opening announcement lists NFL Sunday Ticket, NBA League Pass and UFC fights among its packages (FSR Magazine).

Other ways to watch a game:

1. Louie's Sports Pub for a smaller, local crowd with pool and cornhole.
2. Cheers Too if you want TVs plus karaoke afterward.
3. Group Therapy on Skibo Road, where screens share the room with games (see below).

Bars With Games: Arcades, Pinball and Axe Throwing

Stop Button Bar + Arcade (Hope Mills)

Stop Button at 4251 Legion Road, Suite 127, in Hope Mills is Fayetteville's barcade, with classic arcade cabinets, pinball, free-play machines and tournaments (Stop Button). What to know before you go:

• Hours: Monday-Thursday 3 p.m.-midnight, Friday 3 p.m.-3 a.m., Saturday noon-3 a.m., Sunday 2-10 p.m.
• Membership: It operates as a private club. You sign up at the front desk with a valid ID, and the membership is folded into the daily admission fee.
• Ages: Guests 17 and under must be with an adult, and it is 18+ after 9 p.m.

Group Therapy Pub & Playground

Group Therapy at 1906 Skibo Road mixes a full bar and food menu with indoor mini golf, axe throwing, digital darts and duckpin bowling (Group Therapy). It is open 11 a.m.-2 a.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and it is 18+ after 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Reservations go through its website, which helps on weekend nights.

Haymount Truck Stop

Haymount Truck Stop at 100 Broadfoot Avenue is a food truck court with a full bar, elevated cocktails, craft beer on tap, patios and an arcade, and it welcomes families and pets (Haymount Truck Stop). It opens at 11 a.m. daily and stays open until midnight on Friday and Saturday. The Greater Fayetteville Chamber named it Best New Business 2025. Gay Bars in Fayetteville, NC

As of October 2026 we could not verify an operating LGBTQ+ bar in Fayetteville, and we do not list venues we cannot confirm. The most visible recurring LGBTQ+ event is FayPRIDE, which in 2026 ran on Hay and Person streets as part of the June 26 CommUNITY 4th Friday (Sunny 94.3). The downtown wine and cocktail bars above are relaxed, mixed-crowd options.

Planning a Night Out

• Pick a cluster. Downtown works on foot; Skibo Road and Hope Mills need a car or rideshare.
• Check age rules. Stop Button and Group Therapy both go 18+ after 9 p.m. on weekends, and Paddy's comedy shows vary by event.
