The Corporation Drive complex off I-95 is the town's evening hub.

Hope Mills Lake Park is the centerpiece of town. The Town of Hope Mills says the park covers more than 73 acres, including the lake, with a boat ramp, a rentable gazebo, a playground, an observation dock, restrooms and a seasonal snowball stand. Swimming is offered from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Rules worth knowing before you launch:

• Hope Mills Lake is a no-wake lake. Personal watercraft, water skiing and racing are not allowed.
• Every boat, motorized or not, needs a town permit. Permits are issued in person at the Hope Mills Recreation Center on Rockfish Road, not online.
• Alcohol is prohibited on the water.

Heritage Park and Other Town Parks

Heritage Park at 5445 Lakeview Rd, on the same road as the lake park, holds the historic flume and an event lawn. It is a short walk to add to a lake visit.
